At the heart of MediaKind’s success at IBC 2024 were two standout achievements:

CSI Award for Best Sports Broadcast or Streaming Innovation

This accolade recognized MediaKind’s AI Pipelines within the MK.IO platform, a solution designed to revolutionize sports broadcasting. AI Pipelines help sports organizations address complex challenges, from enhancing viewer engagement with real-time data to streamlining sponsorship audits. This innovation is already driving significant commercial outcomes while enhancing the viewing experience for audiences worldwide.

TVTech Best of Show award

MediaKind’s MK.IO Beam with fleets and flows solution earned this recognition for its game-changing efficiency in managing video workflows. This innovation allows broadcasters and content providers to control live streams dynamically while reducing costs and maintaining top-tier quality.

Allen Broome, CEO of MediaKind, praised the company’s continued leadership:

“IBC2024 demonstrated our leadership in live streaming, broadcast content production, OTT, and pay-TV platforms, and reinforced our commitment to delivering unmatched quality, reliability, and scalability. The rapid growth of our MK.IO platform showcases our ability to power business-critical video services for organizations of all sizes.”

Revolutionizing live event workflows with MK.IO

As live events become increasingly complex, MediaKind’s expanded MK.IO platform services are designed to meet the growing demands of broadcasters and content creators. Newly launched services—Fleet Management, Flow Control, and AI Automation—enable streamlined, scalable live event workflows, from edge to cloud.

MK.IO Beam with fleet management: This service replaces single-purpose hardware with a flexible, software-driven solution that enables seamless control of edge processing across the production network.

MK.IO flow control and AI automation: A key feature of this service is its intuitive API and natural language interface, which allows operators to manage large-scale workflows effortlessly, reducing the complexity of live production and optimizing costs.

Expanding MK.IO’s reach: 10,000 Beam RX1 deployments

MediaKind also announced a significant milestone during IBC2024, with the deployment of over 10,000 Beam RX1 professional video receivers worldwide. Launched in September 2023, the Beam RX1 has become the go-to solution for broadcasters and media companies seeking high-quality video decoding with low latency and scalability. From live sports to satellite TV, Beam RX1 is redefining the delivery of reliable, high-fidelity video content across diverse use cases.

Strategic partnerships and growing customer base

Building on its success, MediaKind announced key partnerships and customer growth during IBC2024. Notably, a new collaboration with ThinkAnalytics integrates AI-powered content discovery and personalized advertising solutions into the MediaFirst TV Platform. This integration enhances user experiences by offering highly personalized recommendations and advanced voice search, increasing viewer engagement and reducing churn.

In another major milestone, MediaKind revealed the growth of its MK.IO customer base, with 500 new customer accounts and support for 375 daily active users. Additionally, enhancements to the MK.IO encoding process have delivered a 40–50% speed boost, dramatically reducing content processing times and further cementing MediaKind’s leadership in video streaming technology.

MediaKind continues to lead the way

As the media and entertainment landscape continues to evolve, MediaKind remains at the forefront, delivering solutions that drive innovation and transform the way live events are produced and streamed.
